Dear Nursing Professionals:

We would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the importance of renewing your license before its biennial expiration date. As per Nur 401.01 (g): "Each person who practices as a nurse or as a nursing assistant after their license or certification has lapsed shall, after notice and opportunity for a hearing pursuant to Nur 402.04 (a), be fined $50.00 for every calendar month, or any part thereof, during which he or she so practices."

If a licensee fails to renew their license by the expiration date, and continues to practice, disciplinary action will be taken and the licensee will be reported as "disciplined" by the Office of Licensure and Certification (OPLC). Please be advised that all disciplined licensees who are issued administrative fines will be posted on the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB), Nursys and OPLC websites.

All renewal notices are sent out to stakeholders via email. Make sure your contact information is up-to-date with our files at the OPLC.

This will take effect on August 1, 2023. If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact us at OPLClicensing10@oplc.nh.gov or at 603-271-2152.

Thank you,

Office of Professional Licensure and Certification
