     There is a position in the Activity Department open for a Mental Health Activity Aide for our newly expanded Behavior Unit.  The position is 40-hours, 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday with weekends as needed.  High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver’s license and good driving record required in order to drive Strafford County bus/van for facility outings.  Passenger Assistance, Emergency Evacuation/Procedures and Defensive Driving trainings will also be required.  Experience in behavioral/mental health preferred.  Additional skills in programming, creativity, and computers skills a plus.  Will be responsible for implementing facility and unit specific activity programs as well as activity documentation in Point Click Care, including daily participation, MDS interviews and assessments.  Must have good work habits, initiative, and organizational skills.  Must be flexible in attitude and ability, and have patience and understanding to work well with staff and our resident population.  Will be required to complete additional activity and behavioral health trainings as needed.
