RECORD/DATA CLERK
Position requires the ability to perform complex recording duties requiring a high degree of independent responsibility and discretion.
Assist public with obtaining and recording of legal documents.
Working knowledge or willingness to learn indexing rules and procedures to accurately enter information in the grantor/grantee indexes.
Willingness to learn and use computer recording system including indexing and proof-reading
Detail orientated.
Review and determine the suitability for recording documents either through the mail, electronically or at the counter
Collect fees, tax stamps, LCHIP fees and copy fees and appropriately enter them in cash register and/or recording station
Perform clerical tasks independently
Minimum Qualifications:
Duties require the knowledge and skills of a business/clerical nature normally acquired through the completion of an Associate degree and/or three to five years of related experience.
