ACCREDITATION ASSESSMENT TEAM INVITIES PUBLIC COMMENT

The Strafford County Dispatch Center is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve accreditation by verifying it meets professional standards.

Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support service

County employees, employees of those agencies served by the Strafford County Dispatch Center, and the public are invited to offer comments by calling (603) 516-8176 or (603) 516-8177 on Monday, August 30, 2010 between the hours of 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Comments will be taken by the Assessment Team.

Telephone comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the Strafford County Dispatch Center’s ability to comply with CALEA’s standards. A copy of the Standards is available at the Strafford County Sheriff’s Office located on the basement level of the Strafford County Superior Court Building, 259 County Farm Road in Dover, NH. Local contact is Deputy Sheriff James W. Rowe, Sr., Accreditation Manager, at (603) 516-7177 or via E-Mail jrowe@co.strafford.nh.us

Anyone wishing to submit written comments about the Strafford County Dispatch Center’s ability to comply with the standards for accreditation may send them to the:
